learning approach
motiroti sees learning and art production as equally potent opportunities to inspire and develop a dynamic exchange between artists and communities.
Who we work with
We work in collaboration with local communities, educational institutions and cultural organisations, and in particular with under represented groups. We work mostly with ages 16+ outside of conventional settings.
How we work
We aim to encourage new thinking and fresh approaches to create intercultural and intergenerational art projects. Working with our team of experienced artists and practitioners, we offer a matrix of multimedia programmes. Our creative process starts by exploring a shared idea, and develops to reflect participants' multiple perspectives in the final artwork. Each project finds a unique outcome in the public realm.
Outcomes
Final presentations can be either small or large-scale events, site-specific works, one-off multimedia installations or live performances. The outcomes can also be made widely accessible through motiroti's website, digital media (e.g DVDs, CD Roms, sound and music CDs) and print media (e.g. fanzines and publications).
Partnerships
We are interested in developing new cross-sector partnerships with groups and organisations interested in exploring the many dimensions of our work. For more information please contact us at learn@motiroti.com
